Mass of Christian Burial for Anne Rourke will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with Father Tim Martinson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with a rosary prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Rourke, age 88, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming of natural causes. Anne Rose (Percifield) Rourke was born on October 1, 1922 the daughter of Theodore T. and Mildred J. (Bates) Percifield in Sheriton, Iowa. When Anne was approximately 2 weeks old the family moved to Gillette, Wyoming where she went to school and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1941. She completed a year of normal training after graduation and taught school. Anne later worked for the ASCS government office. On March 18, 1956 Anne married Bob Rourke at St. Matthews Catholic Church. They moved to the ranch south of Gillette in 1958, where they raised their family. They were blessed with four children: Terry, Kerry, Chuck and Pam. Bob and Anne had a home in Story, Wyoming, Mesa, Arizona and the ranch in Gillette. Anne loved to fish at their cabin in Story. Her favorite fishing companions were her family (kids, grandkids and great grandkids) and friends. In Arizona she enjoyed golfing, playing cards, traveling and going to the casinos. She was an avid Colorado Rockies and Phoenix Suns fan. Anne was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Gillette and the All Saints Church in Mesa. For many years she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and St. Ann's Bridge Group. Anne and her friends would get together monthly for sewing club or to play cards. Anne is survived by her son, Terry Rourke of Gillette, Wyoming; her daughter, Kerry (Kevin) Vaudrey of Story, Wyoming; son, Chuck (Annette) Rourke of Gillette, Wyoming; son-in-law, Greg (Kathy) Martinsen of Lander, Wyoming; sister, Ruth Edwards of Gillette, Wyoming; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, in-laws: Pat and Mossie Percifield, Paul Rourke, Bonnie Wenande and Vione Lane and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, daughter Pam, sisters: Bonita Percifield and Vera (Percifield) Kentizer, brothers: Robert, Raymond, Ted, Ralph, and Bill Percifield.
