Funeral services for Joy Pasklivich will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2011 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Sister Carol Metchenberg officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Joy Hansen Pasklivich, age 51, of Gillette Wyoming and formerly of Minot died on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming from an accidental fall. Joy Gay Hansen was born on May 18, 1960 in Minot, ND to Harold and Patricia (Klimpel) Hansen. Joy was baptized and confirmed at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Minot. She was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1978. Following her graduation she began working at Americana Healthcare Center now named ManorCare Health Services. This was a perfect job for her because it reflected her very caring spirit. She made caring for others her lifelong career. Joy married John Klock on May 2, 1980 at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Minot and from this union came son, Casey. The couple later divorced. Joy married Nick Pasklivich of Brandon, Manitoba on June 30, 2001 in Burlington, ND. After 24 years of employment at ManorCare, Joy began working at the Pioneer Manor in 2001 when she and Nick moved to Gillette. In 2003, the couples son Coby was born. Joy loved animals and caring for them. Joy enjoyed spending time with friends and family, playing softball, darts and pool and was well known for her jovial nature. Joy is survived by her husband, Nick Pasklivich; sons: Casey Klock and Coby Pasklivich all of Gillette; grandson: Rasta Klock; sisters: JoAnn Bryan (Arliss) of Madison Heights, VA and Jennifer Keaton of Minot; brothers: Jerry Hansen (Merry Jo) of Minot, Jack Hansen (Debbie) of Berthold and Jim Hansen (Anna) of Velva; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and her beloved dogs: Josie, Sophie, Bear and Grizz. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, niece Audrey Bryan Payne, great nephew Hayden Hansen, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ann and Harry Pasklivich; grandparents: Julius and Amelia Hansen and Irwin and Mae Klimpel, aunts, uncles, cousins, her beloved Cocker Spaniel Murphy and several other pets. Memorials in Joys name are suggested to the Joy Pasklivich memorial fund.
