Funeral services for Ethel Elaine Clark will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday Sept 1, 2011 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ernie Bishop of Church of Christ officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:007:00 p.m., Wednesday August 31, 2011 at Gillette Memorial Chapel.Ethel Clark, age 71, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home after battling with cancer. Ethel was born in Gregory, South Dakota on March 18, 1940, the daughter of Eliel and Evelyn (Hegge) Wilson. She attended school in South Dakota but received her GED in Gillette, Wyoming in 1986. Ethel married Melvin Clark in Rapid City, South Dakota on June 4, 1956, and together the couple had four children. They lived in the Martin, South Dakota area until moving to Gillette in 1967. Shortly after moving to Gillette, Ethel went to work for Campbell County School District as a cook. She was with the school district for over 25 years. Ethel really enjoyed her work and was especially fond of the people she worked with. Ethel also enjoyed reading a good romance novel, playing with her three poodles, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids. Ethel is survived by her husband, Melvin Clark of Gillette, Wyoming; sons: Rick Clark of Gillette, Wyoming; Randy Clark of Wisconsin; daughter, Rayleen Rogers of Gillette, Wyoming; four grandkids: Brandon Rogers, Holly Clark, Andrew Rogers, and Jacob Rogers; step-mother Eva Wilson, and three step-sisters.She was preceded in death by her parents and by her son Ronnie Clark.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Ethel's name in care of Gillette Memorial Chapel 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or condolences via the internet at www.gillettememorialchapel.com.
