Mass of Christian Burial for Anthony "Tony" Strgar will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Moorcroft, Wyoming with Father Tim Martinson officiating.Tony Strgar, age 62, of Pine Haven, Wyoming, passed away August 25, 2011 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital following a battle with cancer.Tony was born September 15, 1948 in Hibbing, Minnesota the son of Anton and Clarice (Traeger) Strgar. He attended school and graduated from Hibbing High School in 1966. Tony went into the U.S. Army shortly after he graduated and was honorably discharged in February of 1970. He married Loretta Ethier on June 27, 1975 and together the couple had two sons. They moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1982 and Pine Haven in 2001. Tony worked at Black Thunder Mine and retired from there in August of 2004. He then went to work for Wyodak and retired from there in 2010. Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.Tony is survived by his wife of 41 years, sons: Jeff (Becky) Strgar of Afton, Wyoming; Jason (Marla) Strgar of Gillette, Wyoming; brothers: John and George of Hibbing, Minnesota; sister, Sharon Daight of Wright, Wyoming; and four grandchildren: Bethany, Joshua, Madison, and Autumn, all of Afton, Wyoming.He was preceded in death by his parents.A memorial has been established to benefit Campbell County Memorial Hospital Cancer Center.
