Rilda Helen (Wright) Beilgard passed away on August 21, 2011 in Gillette, WY due to complications from CADASIL.Rilda was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on May 2, 1951. In 1967 she met Sgt. Steve Beilgard and told her best friend she would marry him. Two years later, on August 23, 1969, Rilda and Steve were married. The new Mrs. Beilgard left her home in Canada for Nellis AFB in Las Vegas.In 1975 the Beilgards moved to Gillette, WY where they ran several businesses. Steve had more than a wife; he had his best friend, lover, and business partner.Rilda was always quick with a smile and everyone she met was a friend. She was the first to offer help to those in need. Her proudest moment was becoming a U.S. citizen in 2009. Rilda enjoyed reading murder mysteries, knitting, and reminding her daughters why she was the power-shopping champion. She most enjoyed spending time with the six little ones who called her Grammy. In 2008 Rilda was diagnosed with a very rare, genetic disease called CADASIL and with lots of love and prayers, lived longer than expected. She is survived by her husband Steve, daughters Randean (Jeff) Klindt of Gillette, WY and Reagan (Matthew) Kaufman of Cheyenne, WY, soul-sisters Lily Blitzer of Tuscon, AZ and Mary Beltz of Gillette, WY and six grandchildren. Her father Alfred, mother Nora, and older sister Muriel preceded her in death.A memorial service will be held at the High Plains Community Church in Gillette, WY at 4pm on Saturday, August 27, 2011. Cremation has taken place. She is with our Lord and comfortable in His arms.
