Margaret Faye Githens

Memorial services for Margaret Githens will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011 at First Assembly of God Church in Sheridan, Wyoming.Mrs. Githens, age 87, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home of natural causes.Margaret Githens was born on May 25, 1924 in Hereford, Texas the daughter of Jack and Beulah (Funderburg) Miles. She met William Githens while in school in Waxahachie, Texas. The couple was married on February 29, 1948. They moved to Wyoming immediately following their marriage. To this union they had three children. She was active in the Sheridan area until 1992 when she moved to Gillette to be closer to her daughters. Margaret lived with her daughter's family for the remainder of her life.Margaret is survived by her son, David (Suk) Githens of Sheridan, Wyoming; daughters: Synthia (Raymond)Cooley of Gillette, Wyoming and Linda (Ted) Cecil of Gillette, Wyoming; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Margaret's name in care of Gillette Memorial Chapel, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or condolences via the internet at www.gillettememorialchapel.com.Funeral Home:Gillette Memorial Chapel210 West Fifth Street Gillette, WYUS 82716
