Funeral services for Patricia "Patsy" Ann Todd will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday July 29, 2011 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, with Father Tom Fiske officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 1, 2011 at Black Hills National Monument in Sturgis, South Dakota. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday July 28, 2011 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Patsy Todd, age 80, of Gillette, Wyoming died Monday July 25, 2011 of natural causes at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Patsy was born May 23, 1931 in Mobridge, South Dakota, the daughter of Merle "Pat" and Alice (Njos) DeSart. She graduated from Mobridge high School in 1948, and attended Northern State College in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She married Warren Kenneth Todd in 1951. In her lifetime they lived in South Dakota, California, Arkansas, and finally Wyoming for 35 years. They had four children together, and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in November. Patsy excelled performing accounting responsibilities for several businesses throughout her working career, including family owned undertakings : Davis Motors in Mobridge, South Dakota, Todd Sand & Gravel in Isabelle, South Dakota, then Dwelling Dynamics, Gillette Travel Management, Red Rock Crushing Company Inc. all in Gillette, Wyoming. She was proud of her Norwegian heritage and spent countless hours researching her and Warren's family genealogy. During her life Patsy was also active in VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Eastern Star, and the Episcopal Church. She retired in 2000 and spent time gardening, bird watching, and enjoying her three grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed nature, pets and children. Patsy kindness was immense and her smile catching. Those individuals fortunate enough to have known her never forgot her and were better for the experience. Patsy Todd is survived by her husband, Warren Todd of Gillette, Wyoming; sons: Greg Todd of Gillette, Wyoming and Mike Todd of Cheyenne, Wyoming; daughters: Dara Corkery of Gillette, Wyoming and Kristi Sansonetti of Cheyenne, Wyoming; three grandchildren: Tim and Caitlin Corkery and Kyle Todd; and sisters: Norma Mundt and Connie McMacken. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Clynton DeSart.
