Funeral services for Larry Ralph Echols will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Martin Crump of Family Life Church officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Larry Ralph Echols, age 63 of Gillette Wyoming, died unexpectedly on June 19, 2011 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Larry Echols was born May 12, 1948 in Millen, Georgia to Leslie and Ruby (Day) Echols. He was raised and educated, and graduated from Millen High School. Larry worked for Georgia Power for six years. He then moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming where he worked for Jim Bridger Power Plant for twenty years and started his family. Two and a half years ago he moved to Gillette, Wyoming to be closer to his family. Larry enjoyed working with the Gillette City Council and volunteering at the Soup Kitchen. Larry enjoyed raising his children, playing with his grandchildren, watching football (Atlanta Falcons), racing, baseball and fishing. Larry is survived by his son, Andrew Echols of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter, Kristen (John) Mills; sister Wynona Echols of Kennesaw, Georgia; grandchildren: Vance and Evan Echols, Jason and Alexander Mills all of Gillette, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
