Memorial service for Diana Hays will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2011 at Walker Funeral Home in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Dan Holden of the First Assembly of God Church officiating. Diana Gean Hays, 59, passed away after a long battle with microscopic polyangiitis, an autoimmune disease on June 9, 2011. Diana was born on March 22, 1952 in Great Bend, Kansas. She lived in many different areas, including Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma and Kansas, during her childhood. Her family settled in the Gillette area in the 60s. She attended elementary school in Moorcroft and Gillette, and high school in Gillette. In 1969, she married Joseph Hays and gave birth to a daughter, Amanda, in 1978. Diana co-owned Downtown Bingo for several years, and devoted much of her time to her business, which was also her hobby. Diana enjoyed gardening, especially roses, and competed in league bowling for many years. She also enjoyed camping and fishing with her family and loved anything and everything Elvis. Diana was an avid slot machine player and enjoyed visiting Deadwood and Black Hawk, CO.Diana is survived by her husband, Joe Hays of Gillette, WY; daughter, Amanda Hays of Gillette, WY; father, Delbert Carson of Gillette, WY; brother, Orville (Ronna) Carson of Arvada, WY; sister, Linda (Bill) Currie of Alaska; sister-in-law, June Carson of Casper, WY; two aunts and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her birth mother, Alma Carson, her stepmother, Clio Carson, and her brother Delbert Ray Carson.
