Virginia Lee Dalgarn

Funeral mass for Virginia "Grammy" Dalgarn will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday May 27, 2011 a St. Matthew's Catholic Church with Father Cliff Jacobson officiating. Virginia Dalgarn, age 86, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital.Virginia Dalgarn was born November 7, 1924 in Hamlin, Texas the daughter of RH and Madie (Jones) Cooley. She was raised on God's word and picking cotton on the family farm, along with nine siblings. She attended school in Hamlin, Texas until graduating in 1940. Virginia met Mike Dalgarn in Lubbock, Texas and they were married on September 13, 1945, and together they had four daughters. Virginia was a homemaker along with being very active in PTA, church, coaching softball, and making lots of prom dresses for her daughters. She loved playing golf, being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Virginia is survived by her daughters: Victoria Dalgarn of Brighton, Colorado, Rebecca (Richard) Austin of Casper, Wyoming, Annette (Chuck) Rourke of Gillette, Wyoming and Tamara (Steve) Moyer of Katy, Texas; grandchildren: Don (Dawn) Austin of Thayne, Wyoming, Stacey (Chet) Martin of Afton, Wyoming, Jennifer (Quinn) Larson of Gillette, Wyoming, Michael (Lynn) Rourke of Gillette, Wyoming, Beau (Megan) Rourke of Gillette, Wyoming, Justin (Cassie) Moyer of Houston, Texas, Heath (Melissa) Moyer of Houston, Texas, Yvette Moyer of Houston, Texas, Timothy (Stephanie) Daugherty of Katy, Texas and SSgt Joseph Daugherty of Ft. Hood, Texas; 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Alvis (Margilee) Cooley of Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters.Memorials are suggested to benefit St. Matthew's Catholic Church youth.
