Funeral services for Ronald Gallimore will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2011 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Father James Thayer of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Gillette Memorial Chapel.Ron Gallimore, age 98, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at his home of natural causes. Ron Gallimore was born on March 29, 1913 in Rolf, Iowa the son of George and Rosa (Harriman) Gallimore. He was raised and educated in Hitchock graduating in 1931. Ron worked as a cowboy, roughneck and worked for what is BP for over 20 years in Midwest and Meeteetse, Wyoming. He moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1997and worked for True Oil until his retirement. Ron traveled and did many odd jobs until his later years. His favorite activity was playing pool. Ron was the oldest Senior Olympian in the state of Wyoming for the last five years. He enjoyed traveling with his daughter Karen and granddaughter Sarah on their many adventures. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Ron is survived by his daughter, Billie (Skip) Coulter of Winlock, Washington; son, Jim (Judy) Gallimore of Arvada, Wyoming; daughter, Karen Ridenour of Gillette, Wyoming; granddaughter, Sarah (Eric) Miller of Casper, Wyoming; nine grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: George, Keith, Wayne, Bob, Don and Bill, and sister Elna. Memorials are suggested to benefit Campbell County Memorial Hospital Hospice.
