Taylor William Bear

November 11, 1992 — March 19, 2011

On Saturday, March 19, 2011 Taylor William Bear, affectionately known as T-Bear passed away as the result of self-inflicted gunshot wound. The only thing we can say to explain why such a talented young man, with such a bright future, would do such a thing is that he had run into a difficult time at school. His pride kept him from accepting the help that his parents and many friends had offered. We are certain that he knew that he was loved, but have to believe that the Devil had deceived him into believing that he could not get past this challenge.Taylor was a Christian brother who had accepted the gift of Christ's salvation, knowing that Christ had died on a cross for him. He had accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at the age of eight. He went on mission trips to help poor families in Mexico to build homes. He regularly attended New Life Wesleyan youth on Wednesday nights and First Baptist Church on Sundays. He was a son and friend who traveled many, many miles listening to his Dad's endless advice, opinions, criticisms and praises. He was a wrestler who worked harder than any could imagine. He was a three-time state champ and an All-American.He was a leader in every aspect of his life as Student Council President, Wrestling Team Leader, Sophomore Class President, National Junior Honor Society President, and a youth wrestling referee and coach.Taylor is survived by his parents, John and Sage Coulter Bear and sister, Lauren Bear. His grandparents are Bill and Susie Bear of Trenton, Mo. and Alton and Pinky Coulter of Gillette. His great-grandparents are Lowell and Rosemary Bear of Jamesport, Mo. His uncles and aunts are Mark and Brenda Moore of Denver and A.C. and Karen Coulter of Houston, Texas. His cousins are Katie and Brianna Moore of Denver. We thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers that have been posted on Facebook and Wyowrestling.com. While we are a bit overwhelmed right now, please know that we are reading them and appreciate them more than you can imagine. We want everyone in Taylor's life to remember to make the most of your talents and live for your heavenly Father everyday!Memorial services for Taylor will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at New Life Wesleyan Church, 1000 Comanche Avenue, Gillette.
