Memorial service for Karin Ramsdell will be at 3:30 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2011 at Church At The Barn, Gillette, WY with Pastor Mike Morrison officiating.Karin Linnea Ramsdell age 80, passed away Saturday, March 19th, 2011 at the Wyoming Medical Center, Casper, WY from injuries sustained in an auto accident, March 16, 2011 near Gillette, WY.Karin was born in October 3, 1930 in Strangnas, Sweden the daughter of Oscar and Marta ( Berglund) Pettersson. She married William F. Ramsdell , July 11, 1978 and they moved to Gillette in 1998.She worked as a proofreader and pre-school teacher in Stockholm, Sweden. After her marriage to an American and moving to the United States she sacrificed her career to be a homemaker and raise her children and was a good domestic engineer. She was highly skilled in painting, knitting, cross stitching and sewing. Karin was an avid lover of literature, languages and the fine arts. She loved to travel and was connoisseur of good wine and food and was also a very competent chef. She was a supporter of the Gillette Senior Center but because of illnesses was unable to visit as often as she wanted to.Karin is survived by her husband William F. Ramsdell (Retired) of Gillette, WY; son Thomas Lane of Oberstein, Germany; daughter, Eva (Dennis) Campbell of Gillette, WY; three grandchildren, Christina and David Campbell and Cody Lane and one great grandchild Livia Campbell; two nieces and one nephew, as well a host of relatives and good friends in Rhode Island, Sweden, Germany and Gillette.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Sture Pettersson and sister Harriet Pettersson of Sweden.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Karin's name to Walker Funeral Home 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, WY 82716.
