Memorial services for Debra Lorraine Combs will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dan Holden of First Assembly Of God Church officiating. On Wednesday, March 9, 2011, while hospitalized at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland, Michigan, with her daughters at her side, Debra Lorraine Combs quietly finished her battle, and slipped into her eternal peace. In Seattle, Washington, into the home of Juanita and Oscar Haugen on November 22, 1960, Debra Lorraine was born. At a young age the family moved to Ventura, California where Debi spent her growing up years and later gave birth to her children, Jennifer L. who passed away as an infant, Rhiannon Ann-Marie Lamb and Jazmin Cody Lamb. In 1991, Debi brought Rhiannon and Jazmin to Campbell County where they stayed with friends, Tom and Tamara Preston. During this part of Debi's life, she and Tammy started a lifelong friendship, which brought them to more of a sisterly love for each other. Debi experienced many medical issues and in June of 2000 needed to have a liver transplant. Many, many people from the Campbell County community cared for and helped Debi and the girls during the months that followed. Often Debi would reminisce about those days and always gave credit to the community for "saving" her life. In 2001, she met Michael Spicer; along with the girls, they became a family and moved to Coleman, Michigan, where she resided until her passing. Throughout the years, even though Debi lived in constant pain, she was always the one to do the family BBQ's and set the itinerary for the perfect vacation for family and friends. Truly, Debi was the hostess with "the mostest". Debi was a wonderful mother; Rhiannon and Jazmin were often named as her reasons for living, and for fighting the liver disease for so many years. When her grandchildren started to arrive she found new energy in being a grandmother. Gavin and Haylen were her pride and joy; she spent as much time with them as she could. Today at two years old Gavin will often mimic the actions she taught him during their playtime together.Debi will be greatly missed by many, Mike, her significant other, of Coleman, Michigan; daughters: Rhiannon and Jazmin; grandsons: Gavin and Haylen Krajenka all of Gillette, Wyoming; sisters: Annette Prellwitz of Tacoma, Washington and Rita Marie Morales of Port Hueneme, California; brother, Gary Haugen of Oregon, and many friends. She was preceded in death, by her parents, Juanita and Oscar Haugen, sister Teresa Crawford, brother Timothy Haugen and infant daughter Jennifer L. Lamb.Memorials are suggested to benefit the Gift Of Life, which benefits transplant patients at the Denver Science Center in Debi's name.
