Memorial service, Lee E. Wright, 71 of Mendota, Illinois; formerly of Wyoming, will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery Shelter, with Pastor Dan Morgan of the High Plains Community Church officiating. Mr. Wright died at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, Illinois on January 23, 2011.Lee E. Wright was born August 24, 1939 in Newcastle, Wyoming to Mildred (Patton) and Sherman Wright. He was the oldest of 5 children. He married Ruth Reynolds in September 15, 1957. Together they had three children and later divorced. In 1986, he moved to Illinois. He married Christine Ecklund on November 20, 1989.While in Wyoming, Lee was a truck driver and mechanic for Black Hills Trucking and Reed Transportation. In Illinois, he was a maintenance worker for Woodhaven Lakes.Lee is survived by his wife, Chris of Mendota, Illinois; his mother, Mildred of Story, Wyoming; two brothers, Gale, of Savannah, Missouri; Roger (Davene) of Newcastle, Wyoming; and sister, Judy (Dave) Harshman of Las Cruces, New Mexico; his sons, Keith (Karla), of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Jack (Kathy) of Gordon, Nebraska; his daughter Kim (Bill) of Gillette, Wyoming and step-son Michael (Sue) of Gardner, Massachusetts; 8 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren, extended family and countless friends.Lee was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley; his Dad, Sherman; his first wife and mother of his children, Ruth; sister-in-law, Pat; and grandson, Brandon.Donations to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated condolences also may be sent via the tribute site at www.gillettememorialchapel.com.Funeral Home:Gillette Memorial Chapel210 West Fifth Street Gillette, WYUS 82716
