Funeral service for Laura Johnson, 76, of Pine Haven will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Walker Funeral Home with Chaplain Shayla Graham of Treasured Memories Hospice in Moorcroft as officiant.Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at Walker Funeral Home.Surrounded by her family, Laura Johnson died of a long-term illness at the home of her granddaughter, Autumn (Werner) and Steve Archuleta in Pine Haven on Tuesday, December 14, 2010.Laura was a longtime resident of Campbell County until July of this year, at which time she was too ill to stay at her home and she moved in with her granddaughter, Autumn.Laura was born November 7, 1934, in Gillette, Wyoming and grew up on the family homestead in Oshoto with her parents, Ezra and Dorothy Terry, one brother and two sisters.She attended rural schools in Oshoto until high school when she went to Campbell County High School and graduated in 1954. She married Raymond E. Huseby on August 28, 1954. She and Ray moved around Wyoming and Colorado, as he was a driller in the oil field, from this union they had two sons, Orin and Leroy, and one daughter, Pamela. They moved to Gillette in 1960. Raymond died of an illness in 1963.One year later, she married Warren E. Johnson on April 23, 1964. They resided in Gillette and together had two daughters, Penny and Brenda. Laura was a stay-at-home mom until her children started school. She then drove school buses for Campbell County School District. She also drove a van for BNSF railway for about 14 years. She became ill in 2001 and retired from driving.Laura is survived by her children; Pam (Neil) Werner of Buffalo, WY; Brenda (Gary) Baker of Gillette, WY; Penny (James) Hughes of Rapid City, SD; and E. LeRoy Huseby of Gillette, WY; her sisters, Marie Noonan of Gillette, WY; Mildred Carreeof Denver, CO; nine grandchildren, Ezra (Marie) Werner of Denver, CO; Autumn (Steve) Archuleta of Pine Haven, WY; Aubreena Huseby of Greeley, CO; Jeff Huseby of Gillette, WY; Shelley Huseby of Gillette, WY; Branden Baker and Chantel Baker of Gillette, WY; Richard Hughes of Rapid City, SD; Jennifer Hughes of Rapid City, SD; 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant sibling; her brother, George (Rose) Terry; husbands, Raymond Huseby and Warren Johnson; one son, Orin Huseby; and one stepson, John Johnson.Memorials in Laura's name have been suggested to benefit Secret Santa program at Campbell County Recreation Center.
