Betty Louella Desmarteau

Betty Louella Desmarteau, age 84, of Gillette, Wyoming died of natural causes, Friday, December 10, 2010 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. A private family service is planned at a later date.Betty was born April 29, 1926, the daughter of Everett and Irma (Cook) Flanders in Great Bend, Kansas. She graduated high school in Great Bend, Kansas and later married Walter (Frenchie) Desmateau in 1946. Together they moved to Gillette, Wyoming in the late 1960's. Betty was a respected member of the American Legion Baseball Program. She enjoyed working on her crafts and would let you know there were two ways to do things, her way or the wrong way. Betty Lou was a very nice woman and a good mother who was much loved and will be greatly missed.Betty is survived by her son Everett A. Desmarteau of Gillette, Wyoming and her sister Pat Noblett of Great Bend, Kansas.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Walter (Frenchie) Desmarteau.Memorials and condolences may be sent in Betty's name in care of the Walker Funeral Home, 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, and WY 82716.
