Funeral services for John Gilbert Herrera will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 11, 2010 at First United Methodist Church Of Gillette with Pastor Burry Bessee officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2010 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. John Herrera, age 38, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in an auto accident.John G. Herrera was born on October 23, 1972, in East Fort Morgan, Brush Colorado the son of Gilbert Herrera and Carol (Lemme) Herrera. He loved playing pool, fishing, playing darts, playing practical jokes, camping and boating. The memories we all share is his smile and laughter, he could always light up a room. He will be deeply missed by all who have shared in his life. John is survived by his mother, Carol Williams of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; father, Gilbert Herrera of Brush, Colorado; separated wife, Wendy Herrera of Billings, Montana; son, Anthony Herrera of Cheyenne, Wyoming; daughter, Mershan Herrera of Billings, Montana; sisters: Nadine (Damon) Decker and Natalie Cudmore both Gillette, Wyoming; brothers: Travis Jackson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Tyrone (Megan) Jackson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, James Herrera of Brush, Colorado, and Shadron Herrera of Brush, Colorado; grandmother, Alvina Cudmore of Gillette, Wyoming; significant other, Sally Jo Granzer and her four children: Billy, Robert, Tyler and Eddie all of Gillette, Wyoming; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his brother, Mathew Herrera and his grandparents: Harry and Mary Herrera, Russell Cudmore and Everett Lemme.Memorials and condolences may be sent in John's name in care of Gillette Memorial Chapel, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or condolences via the internet at www.gillettememeorialchapel.com.Funeral Home:Gillette Memorial Chapel210 West Fifth Street Gillette, WYUS 82716
