Mark Nichols

Memorial services for Mark Matthew Nichols will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday December 7, 2010 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Kevin Frank officiating.Mr. Nichols, age 60, of Pine Haven, Wyoming died December 2, 2010 at his home.Mark Nichols was born to Bruce and Elaine (Reinert) Nichols, March 9, 1950, in Portland, Oregon. In 1972, Mark married Rebecca (Gano) Nichols and they later divorced. Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1978, from Portland State. Mark started working for PacifiCorp in 1978, which eventually brought him to Gillette, WY. In 1984, Mark became registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wyoming. In 2002, Mark married the love of his life Jane (Filipi) Nichols. He continued to work for PacifiCorp until his retirement in 2006.Mark is survived by his wife Jane (Filipi) Nichols, sons Matthew (Michelle) Nichols, Tyler Nichols, and daughter Andrea (Michael) Matheson, stepson Alex Brannam, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, sister Mary (Allen) Paz, brothers Robert(Nancy) and Dan Nichols, four nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents.Mark enjoyed spending his time with home remodeling projects, fishing, tubing, riding his Harley and spending time with his family.
