Shane Karns

Mass of Christian burial for Shane Jay Karns will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 29, 2010 at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Father Tim Martinson as celebrant. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Walker Funeral Home with a vigil/ rosary at 6 p.m. Shane sadly passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 after his hard fought battle with esophageal cancer. Shane was born December 10, 1968 in Seattle, Washington. He grew up in Lead, SD and graduated from Spearfish High School. Shane married the love of his life Heidi and they had three rock stars; Cougar, Crash and Talon. Shane was a proud friend and employee of Buckskin Coal Mine, he loves you guys! Shanes passion was spending time with his wife Heidi and their children whom he adored more than anything in this world! He loved fishing, camping, jagermeister, guitar, and rock n roll. Shanes life was short but he worked hard and played hard. Shane is survived by his wife Heidi, their three children, his Awesome sisters; Korrie, Tawnee, and Ashley and his father Gerald. Shane will truly be missed!! Husband, Father, Brother, Son, Uncle, and Friend. A memorial has been established in his name to be designated at a later date.
