John 'Bogie' Maupin

Graveside service for John Maupin will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Rozet Cemetery, Rozet, Wyoming. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Walker Funeral Home, Gillette, WY. John Walter Bogie Maupin age 65, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital, Gillette, WY following and extended illness. John Walter Maupin was born November 18, 1944 to Tom and Christine Maupin in Pierre, South Dakota. The family ranched near Eagle Butte, SD until 1952 when they moved to Alzada, Montana. Bogie attended country school in Crook County, Wyoming and graduated from Hulett High School in 1962. He attended Casper College and Black Hills College in Spearfish, SD. For the past 15 years he lived south of Rozet, Wyoming on the Pickrel Land and Cattle Company Ranch. John is survived by one sister and two brothers as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
