Funeral service for Steven Wagner will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Family Life Church, Gillette, WY with Pastor Martin Crump officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Gillette, WY. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Walker Funeral Home. Steven Joseph Wagner, 53, son of Wilfred and Ruby (Lentz) Wagner was born May 9th, 1957 in Mitchell, SD and departed this life July 24th, 2010. He grew up and graduated from high school in Mitchell, SD. He continued his education; graduating with a bachelors of art degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. To accommodate his love for art, he graduated from the Gillette College welding program and became an instructor for a short period of time. He used his welding skills in the creative design and construction of a variety of art pieces and furniture. He worked as a supervisor at North Antelope Rochelle Mine for the past 22 years. Steve was united in marriage to Julie Donahue June 26th, 1983 in Silver City, SD. From this union three children, Jessica, Trisha and Brady were born and raised in Gillette, WY. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, exercising and most of all spending time with his family. He absolutely loved life and everyone he ever met. His laugh was contagious and shared with old friends and new acquaintances equally. Steve is survived by his wife Julie, his children, Jessica, Trisha and Brady; brothers, Douglas (Beverly) of Gillette, WY; Dennis (Mary) of West Palm Beach, FL; Gregory (Kristie) of Lexington, NE; Ronald (Linda) of Champaign, IL; and sisters Cynthia of Minneapolis, MN; and Peggy Holt of Tucson, AZ; He had one granddaughter, Addison, whom he worshiped immensely. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial has been established in Steves name.
