James Brannon age 65 passed away July 14, 2010 at his home in Wright, Wyoming of natural causes. James Lee Brannon was born March 5, 1945 in Tooele, Utah to Eernest and Rhea (Evensen) Brannon. He attended school and graduated from Tooele High School in 1963. James enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1978. He worked at various copper, gold and coal mines in Nevada, Utah and Wyoming. He moved to Gillette, WY in 2000 and worked for Jacobs Ranch Coal Mine retiring in 2009. He enjoyed traveling, playing Keno in Wendover, NV, fishing, hunting, remodeling his homes, working on cars, playing the lottery, rock hunting and visiting and helping neighbors and friends. James is survived by his mother, Rhea Castagno of Grantsville, UT; sons Robert (Melanie)McConkay of Safford, AZ; Mark Brannon of Moses Lake, WA; daughter, Jessica (Lynn) Herzog of Wells, NV; brothers, Ronnie (Marilyn) Brannon of Grantsville, UT; Richard (Sheila) Brannon; David Castagno of Grantsville, UT; Lela (Albert) Gallegos of Tooele, UT; Stella (Clive) Madsen of Fontana, CA; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, son, Daniel Brannon and granddaughter, Jessica Paige McConkay. A memorial will be held at a later date in Tooele, Utah.
