Funeral service for Susan Lane will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Allen Street in Gillette, Wyoming with Bishop John Kertesz presiding. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel. Susan L. Lane, age 65 passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at her home in Gillette with her family by her side. Susans battle with cancer was an inspiration to all those who knew her. Susan Leona Lane was born on October 26, 1944 the daughter of Daniel R. and Beverly (Burnett) Boone in Lamar, Colorado. As a young girl she moved with her family to Salt Lake City and attended East High School and graduated in 1963. Susan met and married Larry Lane, the love of her life, the couple moved to Gillette, Wyoming the same year. She was employed as secretary for URS in Gillette for numerous years and was currently still working until the time of her death. Sue is a very devout member of the LDS faith and was sealed to her partner for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. She especially enjoyed her primary children and spending time with missionaries in the field. Sue had many interests and enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting, camping and fishing. She was passionate about photography and loved to photograph the Lords many natural beauties. She loved to vacation in Hawaii and also loved spending time with her family and friends. Sue is survived by her husband Larry Lane of Gillette, WY; sons, Neil Inscore of Tooele, UT and Larry Lane Jr. of Gillette, WY; daughters, Tammy (Lon) Pearson of Kearns, UT; Nikki (Danny) Valenzuela of Tooele, UT; Tina Orr of Las Vegas, NV; Lisa (Richard) Gaer of Tooele, UT; Paula (Curtis) Merchen of Gillette, WY; Shelly Lane of Gillette, WY; Tina (Barry) Cain of Gillette, WY; Tammy (Skip) Eldridge of Gillette, WY; Sindi (Jerry) Dorough of Gillette, WY; Cherie (Jack) Haire of Oak Hills, CA; sisters, Becky (Rick) Layton of Norman, OK; Deborah (Bryce) Parry of Olney, MD; brothers, David (Janelle) Boone and Daniel Boone both of Salt Lake City, UT; forty five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial has been established in Sues name to benefit Campbell County Memorial Hospital Oncology department or Pioneer Manor Nursing.
