Leslie Zahrowski

Funeral services for Leslie Ray Zahrowski will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Antelope Valley Church in Gillette, Wyoming, with Pastor Steve Vetter officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Gillette Memorial Chapel. Leslie R. Zahrowski, age 60, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away May 28, 2010, surrounded by his loving family at home, after a long battle with cancer. Leslie was born October 21, 1949, in Mobridge, South Dakota, the son of Alex and Rosemarie (Brinkman) Zahrowski. He graduated from high school in 1968 in Isabel, South Dakota. Leslie married Sheryl J. Clift in Guymon, Oklahoma on November 9, 1970, and together they were the proud parents of two sons. The couple lived for a time in Oklahoma before moving to Gillette, Wyoming. Leslie spent forty years working in the oil fields. He was an outdoorsman, an avid fisherman, and hunter. Leslie loved playing poker and taking trips to Deadwood to play cards. Most precious to him though, was time spent with his grandchildren and family. Leslie is survived by his loving wife, Sheryl, and his two sons, Lyle and Chad (Sonja) Zahrowski, both of Gillette, Wyoming. Brothers; Larry Zahrowski of Gillette, Wyoming, Lionel Zahrowski of Douglas, Wyoming, and Alex Zahrowski Jr., of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Sisters; Vernal Trobes of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Gloria Braune of Arizona and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
