David Franklin

Memorial services for David C. Franklin, age 67, of Gillette will be a 10 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 at Walker Funeral Home, Gillette, WY. He died Friday, May 7, 2010 at Rapid City Regional Hospital of cancer. Mr. Franklin was born December 21, 1942 in Wichita Falls, Texas, to W.B. and Lady Frances (Smith) Franklin. He has lived and worked in Gillette for more than 30 years prior to retiring in 2008 to his ranch near Sundance, Wyoming. Mr. Franklin is survived by Arnie Davis of Gillette; two sons, David Franklin of Round Rock, TX; and Shawn Franklin of Gillette, WY; three daughters, Shelley Hartley of Austin, TX; Sharon Franklin of Canyon Lake, TX; and Kelley Allen of Gillette, WY; two brothers, Charles Franklin of Casper, WY; and Richard Franklin of Throckmorton, TX; one sister, Marilynn Reder of Boerne, TX; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friend of Mr. Franklin are invited to attend the memorial service to celebrate his life and share fond memories.
