Betty Jean (Martens) Hutton, peacefully left this world Sunday, April 25th, 2010 for her final journey home. She was 79 years old. Betty was born on October 25th, 1930, to Charles and Henrietta Martens in a sod house west of Ekalaka, Montana. She grew up on the ranch where she was born and attended country school. After graduating from high school in Ekalaka, she obtained her teaching certificate and taught for a year. During this time she met and married her mate, Robert (Bob) Hutton on November 9th, 1949. She was a dedicated wife of 54 years and a loving mother to six boys. She and Bob spent most of this time on the family ranch where they raised their family. In 1987, they moved to Gillette, Wy. where Bob worked part time, still keeping their ranch in Montana and returning to it every summer. Betty was a very quiet, soft spoken person with a deep commitment to family and a need to accomplish any task at hand and was loved by all. She was a good friend to many and will be missed by her family and all who knew her. We know that she is now at peace with the angels and all her family that passed before her. We wish her well in her journey to a life of joy and love and though we who are left behind will miss her, she will be with us in spirit.
