Memorial service for Donna Chick will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home Chapel, Gillette, WY with Sister Carol Metchenberg of St. Matthews Catholic Church as officiant. She will be laid to rest next to her parents at Parklawn Cemetery in Brookfield, MO on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 1:00p.m. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home in Brookfield, Mo. prior to the interment. Donna Jean Easley-Chick, age 71, of Gillette, WY peacefully passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Pioneer Manor of natural causes. She had been a resident at Pioneer Manor for the last ten years where she was cared for by a loving staff considered as family. Donna Jean was born November 9, 1938 in Brookfield, MO, the daughter of Manford and Pauline (Hymes) Easley. She graduated in 1956 from Brookfield High School in Brookfield, Missouri. Donna moved to Gillette, WY in 1999. Donna was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed collecting antiques, reading the bible, writing in her journal and visiting with friends. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, and flower arranging. She is survived by her four sons, John (Julie) Chick of Gillette, WY; James (Traci) Chick of Gillette, WY; David (Tina) Chick of Newcastle, WY; Joseph Chick of Gillette, WY; eight grandchildren, John Chick (Catherine) of Indianapolis, IN; Jessica, Jake, Mikkael and Alex Chick all of Gillette, WY; Aidan and Avery Chick of Newcastle, WY; Jordan Chick of Pennsylvania; three great grandchildren, Camryn, Robert and Joshua Chick of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Verna (Rick) Austin of Kansas City, MO; two nieces Renee (Gabe) Austin and Angela (Jason) Dake both of Kansas City, Mo; one nephew, Luke (Emily) Austin of Kansas City, MO and several great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent in Donnas honor to benefit friends at Pioneer Manor.
