Funeral services for Harold R. Allen will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the New Life Wesleyan Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Rev. Brett Eliason of the Trinity Assembly of God of Rawlins, Wyoming officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Walker Funeral Home. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo, Wyoming. Harold Allen, age 49, passed away on Monday, April13, 2009 at his home in Gillette from cancer. Harold Richard Allen was born on October 28, 1959 the son of Bruce R. and Janice (Proviance) Allen at Idaho Falls, Idaho. As a young boy he moved to Evergreen, Colorado and attended rural schools. When Harold was seventeen he moved with his father to Gillette, Wyoming. For a short time he did painting at a local coal mine before he started work with Jones Construction as a pusher and then roustabout. On August 8, 1981 he married Tina Morris at Gillette, Wyoming. Harold was also employed with Kobe and Kissack and Gillan Roustabout for a few years before working with Cities Service which was purchased by Oxy Services and the Exxon Company for twenty five years. For a couple of years he worked as a service technician for the Trico Industries before owning and operating the HT Services. He sold his business to his two sons and it became the Bri-Dan Services. Harold worked at Bri-Dan Services for a year. In 2005, Harold worked until he passed away for Continental Production. He loved to go camping and go on vacations with his family. Harold was a stock car racer and enjoyed watching the Mile High National Drag Racing. His greatest passion was watching his grandchildren in their sports activities and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Denver Bronco fan and was a member of the Gillette StockCar Association. Harold is survived by his wife Tina Allen, his two sons, Brian (LeeAnn) Allen, Daniel Allen, one daughter, Chelsie (Sam) Simons, six grandchildren, Natishia , Christopher, Ryan and Caleb Simons and Kaden and Colin Allen all of Gillette, Wyoming; one brother, Ralph (Jackie) Caughie of Casper, Wyoming; two sisters, Linda (Dave) Baker of Texas; Bonnie Caughie of Idaho; one step sister, Judy (Tom) Wilson of Tennessee; one step brother John (Sandy) Proviance of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Lamar and Robert Caughie and one grandson, Austin Christopher Allen. A memorial has been established in Harolds name its use to be designated at a later date and may be sent in care of the Walker Funeral Home, 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, WY 82716.
