Mass of Christian burial for Walter Jack Sinclair will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Father Philip Vaske as Celebrant. Rite of Committal will be at 2:00 p.m., March 17, 2009 at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota. Visitation will be on Monday, March 16, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A vigil/rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home. Walter Jack Sinclair, age 91 died at home on March 12, 2009. Jack was born in Gillette, Wyoming on June 27, 1917 to Walter and Margret (Shive) Sinclair. He served in the United State Army from 1941-1944 and was awarded Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon in 1943. In 1945 he married LaVera Bessie Yokum and they owned and operated three restaurants and developed the Tumbleweed campground in Gillette. Jack was a community promoter and was always involved in something. They lived at Keyhole for several years and moved back to Gillette in 1980, and were active in the American Legion of which Jack was a fifty year member and also enjoyed square dancing. Jack is survived by his son, Dr. Raymond Pavlovich of Katy, Texas; five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVera, son Robert Lee Pavlovich of the Villages, Florida. The family has asked that, in place of flowers, memorials be made to Campbell County Memorial Hospice Hospitality House.
