Memorial service for Thelma Stout will be at 11:00 am, Friday, January 2, 2009 at the Walker Funeral Home in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Marty Crump of the Family Life Church officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Thelma Stout, age 75, passed away December 28, 2008 at her home following an extended illness. Thelma Irene Stout was born on September 3, 1933 the daughter of Clarence and Alma (Lieske) Love in Panora, Iowa. Her family moved to Colorado where she attended school and met and married, Roy Corky Stout, September 13, 1950 in Walden, Colorado. They were married for 58 years. The couple moved to Gillette in 1968 where they owned and operated Corkys Water Service, Thelma took care of the book work for the company. Her family was the greatest joy in her life, and her #1 hobby was loving, caring, and helping to raise her grand children and great-grandchildren. Her other hobbies included knitting, sewing, bowling and reading. Thelma was a member of the Moose Lodge for 30 years and played darts on their team, she also held all offices for Women of the Moose. She also belonged to the Eagles Lodge for 25 years. Thelma disliked fishing, but she went on a trip to the Bighorn Mountains every 4th of July to be with her family. Thelma is survived by her husband, Roy Corky, her sons; Ernie (Verna) Stout and Freddie (Tina) Stout, both of Gillette Wyoming, her daughter; Linda Stout (Jeff) Johnson, of Gillette, Wyoming, six grandchildren; Crystal Reeg, Lucas Stout, Amber Mauch, Adam Stout, Michael Stout, Brittney Boyd, four great grandchildren; Kincaid Donaldson, Deavon Mauch, Kaimon Donaldson, Elyxia Mauch, brothers; John Love, Douglas, Wyoming, Jim and Ned Love, Loveland, Colorado, sister; Joyce Wilkson, Grove Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her son; Kenneth in 1962, both her parents, 2 brothers, Mervin and Melvin, and two sisters, Margaret Werner and Jean Claassen. A memorial has been established in Thelmas name to benefit Campbell County Hospice Hospitality House, and memorials can be sent to Walker Funeral Home at 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, Wyoming 82716.
