Howard Allen Carl, age 66, passed away Sunday, November 02 2008, at his home near Gillette, Wyoming. A private service has already taken place. Howard was born April 2, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Howard and Eleanor (Blabol) Carl. He attended school in Cleveland, Ohio, following graduation he moved to Ft. Lauderdale Florida where he obtained his electrical license and worked for Hearne Electric. He received his Master Electrician License, then owned and operated Carls Electric. He met his wife Audrey in 1965 and they were married January 4, 1980, in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. They moved to North Carolina for a short while before moving to Sheridan, Wyoming. Howard retired from the electrical field and went to work for Flying H. Ranch as head of maintence/construction department. He retired again in June of 2008 and was in the process of moving to Gillette to be near his children and grandchildren. Howards family was everything to him and he did everything with the family. He was the Best Dad ever and a wonderful grandfather. Their lives were wrapped around the children, they traveled together in a 5th wheel, going to amusement parks, joking with his son-in-law and having food fights. He was also a workaholic, always fixing something, no project to big or to small. Howard would do anything to help anyone. He enjoyed fixing corvettes and enjoyed driving them. Howard is survived by his wife, Audrey Carl of Gillette, Wyoming; his son, Howard III (Linda) Carl, of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter, Gail (Dany)Schwartz of Gillette, Wyoming, his mother, Eleanor Carl of Gillette, Wyoming, and two grandchildren, Cody and Kaitlyn. He was preceded in death by his father. A memorial has been established to benefit the Carl family and donations may be sent in care of the Walker Funeral Home, 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, WY 82716.
