Funeral service for Neva Rae Robertson will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Family Life Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Bill Morel officiating. Burial will follow in the Gillette-Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2008 at the Walker Funeral Home. Neva Robertson, age 59, passed away October 4th, 2008 in Springfield, MO, peacefully from the arms of her loving family to the loving arms of her Lord. Neva Rae Robertson was born November 5th, 1948 to Wayne Vincent and Doris (Hulsey) Vincent in Lake City, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Lanesboro, Iowa and graduated from Lake City High School in 1967. Neva met the love of her life, Jim Robertson in 1969 and they were married May 9th, 1970 in Lanesboro, Iowa. They were blessed with three daughters; Danielle, Heather and Amber. Neva, Jim and their girls moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1980. Neva was a homemaker and also ran a daycare in her home; she was loved dearly by all her "kids". After she lost her husband, Jim, in 1994; she took care of elderly women in their homes. Neva became a grandma and she enjoyed taking care of her grand-children. She was a life-long caregiver, something she was wonderful at. Neva moved to Missouri in 2000 to be with her children and grand-children. Neva was known for being able to make just about anything with her hands. She enjoyed crafts and made many gifts and cards for family and friends. Neva collected Cherished Teddies and bunnies and her home was something she always treasured and made beautiful. She was a giving, loving and very affectionate woman. Neva was always at the door waiting with a hug and a kiss for you. Most of all, she loved spending time with the Lord, family and friends. Neva is survived by her three daughters; Danielle (Brian) Brimacombe of Carl Junction, Missouri; Heather Robertson of Springfield, Missouri and Amber (Derek) Potter of Nixa, Missouri; one brother Dale (Kathy) Vincent of Gillette, Wyoming and three grand-children; Tyler Brimacombe, Ashlyn Brimacombe and Ashton Robertson, all of Missouri. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Neva is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Robertson, her parents Wayne and Doris Vincent and one brother, Ward Vincent. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the Robertson Family name.
