Pauline Haskell

Pauline D. Haskell age 84 died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital at Gillette, Wyoming following a long illness. A graveside service will be Friday, 10:00 a.m. September 26, 2008 at the Gillette- Mt Pisgah Cemetery with Rev. Steve Carnahan of the Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church officiating. Pauline was born March 11, 1924 in Napa, California the daughter of Paul R. and Isabel (Swift) Sperry. She attended Napa schools, graduating high school in 1940. She continued on to college graduating with a teaching degree. She taught school in Coeur D Alene, Idaho for one year. She drove cattle truck in her twenties and ran a dairy with her parents for several years in Napa, California. She married George Napolitano in 1944, they had one daughter, Paulette, and they later divorced. Pauline was an accomplished musician and pianist, and entertained in her younger years; she also composed and published several pieces for the piano. She moved to Reno, Nevada in 1951, where she met and married the love of her life, Ron Haskell, they had one son Brand, the couple later divorced. Pauline worked in the casino trade as a dealer in Reno, Carson City, and Lake Tahoe for many years. She was a real estate broker with her own office at Lake Tahoe for several years. In 1985 she moved to Gillette to be near family. Pauline is survived by her daughter Paulette Hackett (Floyd) of Gillette, Wyoming and son Brand Haskell of Rapid City, South Dakota, one granddaughter Bridgett Weston (Keith) of Mankato, Minnesota. Three great-grandsons and one great-great grandson all of Minnesota.
