Edna Mae McGee

Memorial Services for Edna Mae McGee will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Walker Funeral Home, Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Dan Morgan from High Plains Community Church officiating. Edna Mae McGee passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Edna Mae was born March 11, 1933 to Samuel Shearer and Monnie Bell (Ash) Wenger in Carlile, Wyoming. She received her early education in the Carlile area. Her family moved to Gillette in 1944, and she graduated from Campbell County High School in 1951. Edna Mae married Don Cale in 1951 and one daughter, Donna Mae, was born to this union. In 1955 she married Don Draine and two daughters were born. Gwendolyn Jean and Dawn Marie. They lived in many places, while Don was in the U.S. Navy, settling in Milpitas, California where all three girls were raised. They were later divorced, and Edna Mae moved back to Gillette and worked in the drywall and painting business with her husband Delbert whom she married in 1981. Their business was known as Del and Eds Paint & Drywall. They moved to Buffalo in 1993 and continued working until Delbert died in 1997. In 2004 Edna Mae moved back to Gillette to be closer to her family and friends. She loved to crochet and made many beautiful afghans for her family and friends. She is survived by her three daughters, Donna Mae from San Jose, CA, Gwendolyn Jean from Denton, Texas and Dawn Marie from Gillette. Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; Sister, Betty Jean Gazzolo, Gillette, Brothers, Sam (Elaine) Wenger of Gillette and Bob (Linda) Wenger of Devils Tower. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, and Husband.
