The angels came May 15, 2008, to escort our father's beloved wife, our mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother to heaven to be reunited with her parents, grandparents, brother, nephew, and friends.Barbara Mae Pease-Laddusaw died peacefully surrounded by her husband Wayne, and her daughter, Jacque, at her home in Gillette, Wyoming.Barbara was born April 7, 1932, to Gladwyn and Esther Pease in Midwest, Wyoming. At age 7, she moved to Cody, Wyoming, to live with her grandparents, James and Gertrude Corder. She graduated from Cody High School in 1951. She attended business school in Billings, Montana, for a year.On May 1, 1952, she married her true love and best friend, Wayne Laddusaw. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Powell, Wyoming, where she worked for the telephone company. Four children were added to make their family complete, Christine(Chris) & Arty Thomas of Leiter, Wyoming, Jacque Laddusaw of Gillette, Wyoming, Robert & Sharon Laddusaw of McMinnville, Oregon, and Cynthia (Cindy) & Ernie Miller of Round Rock, Texas.In 1962, Barbara and the children joined Wayne in Ft. Lewis, Washington, where he was stationed while on military duty. They returned to Powell for a short period of time and then moved to Rozet and then on to Williston, North Dakota, for three months. From there they moved to Casper and lived there until 1969. While in Casper, Barbara taught Sunday School, Bible School, helped with meals for the Junior and Senior High Youth Programs at church, she was a den leader for Boy Scouts, was a room mother for her elementary age school children, was a member of the Casper Water Ski Club, and enjoyed bowling.In August 1969, the family moved to Gillette. Barbara enjoyed bowling, playing Bridge with The Ladies Bridge Club for 35 years, being a prayer warrior as a member of High Plains Community Church. She worked at Gillette Diesel, Campbell County Court House, and Petrolane Gas Company. She retired from Anthony's in the early 90?s. After she retired, she enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, reading, crocheting, and loving the great-grandchildren who lived with her for a short period of time.When she became ill, she loved watching the traffic go by, listening to the birds sing, and watching the rabbits and birds in the yard. She looked forward to having the home bound library person deliver books. Even though she went through difficult times, she greeted each day with, "This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it."Barbara was preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother and dad, her brother, Charles Pease, and her nephew, Keith Moller. She is survived by her husband, Wayne, daughters, Chris, Jacque, and Cindy, her son, Robert, sister, Joan, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.She will be sadly missed by family and friends.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pilots for Christ or Gideon Bibles. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2008 in Riverside Cemetery in Cody, Wyoming.
