Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Frey will be held at 9:00 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2008 at St, Matthew's Catholic Church with Father Cliff Jacobson celebrating. Rite of Committal will be in Black Hills National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. in Sturgis, South Dakota with Military Honors provided by the Sturgis Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2008 with a vigil and rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.Mr. Frey, age 77, of Gillette, Wyoming died at Campbell County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 of cancer.Robert August Frey, known to his family and friends as Bob, was born on September 28, 1930 in St. Louis, Illinois the son of Frank and Marie (Baker) Frey. As a young boy he moved with his family to Sturgis, South Dakota where he was raised and educated. Bob graduated from St. Martin?s Academy in Sturgis in 1949. He joined the United States Air Force in January 1951. Upon his discharge he used the GI Bill to attend 2 years at Conception Seminary and then the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota earning a degree in history. Bob taught 2 years in Rapid City, South Dakota and 16 years in Wyoming. Bob also taught Catholic Religion for 7 years. He finished his working career employed with his church St. Matthew?s. Bob was devoted to the Church and the school. His presence and concern for his church family did not go unnoticed. He will be missed greatly by all his family and friends.Bob is survived by his sisters: Audrey Masters of Yakima, Washington and Linda Harwood of Sturgis, South Dakota; 2 brothers: Frank C. Frey and Paul J. Frey both of Sturgis, South Dakota and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, James A.
