Funeral services for John (Jack) T. Keller will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Martin Crump of the Family Life Church officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.Jack Keller, age 70, of Pine Haven, Wyoming died at his home on Saturday, May 10, 2008 after a long illness.Jack T. Keller was born on February 16, 1938 the son of George (Ted) and Verna (Calhoun) Keller in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Valentine High School in Valentine, Nebraska in 1956. Upon graduating he joined the United States Navy serving his country from 1959 until 1961. After Jack was discharged he worked in road construction. He married LaVonne Shook on May 11, 1970 in Pierre, South Dakota. Jack was an over the road truck driver and retired from Consolidated Freightways after 17 years in Lincoln, Nebraska. He moved with his family in October 1995 to Gillette, Wyoming to be near his brother. In 2002 the couple moved to Pine Haven. Jack enjoyed woodworking, playing cards with his family, an avid fisherman and being an outdoorsman. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.Jack is survived by his wife, LaVonne Keller of Pine Haven, Wyoming; sons: James Keller and his wife Jen of Gillette, Wyoming, Joel Chandler and his wife, Kathy of Hastings, Nebraska; daughter, Chris Anderson and her husband (Mitch) of Waukon, Iowa; brother, Frank Keller of Pine Haven, Wyoming; sister Shirley Farley of North Platte, Nebraska; 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mae Hanson.Memorials and condolences may be sent in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or via the internet at www.stevensonwilson.com.
