Funeral services for Carole Collins will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Family Life Church with Pastor Martin Crump officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2008 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.Mrs. Collins, age 58, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Wednesday, March 5, 2008.Carole Jean Collins was born May 21, 1949 in Murdo, South Dakota the daughter of Ole and Evelyn (Hampton) Niehoff. She grew up on a farm in South Dakota, and attended school in Murdo, South Dakota. Carole married Thomas Allen Collins on October 16, 1965 in Murdo. The couple came to Wyoming with the oil boom. They settled in Gillette, Wyoming. Tom and Carole had two children: Shelley and Troy, they were Carole?s primary focus and she stayed home, caring for them. She also owned and operated several rental properties with her husband. Over the years she enjoyed bowling, gardening, crafts, bingo and going to Deadwood with her friends. In recent years Carole defined herself by being a grandmother, she loved being a part of their everyday lives. Nothing pleased her more than spending time with her family. Carole is survived by her daughter, Shelley Walker and her husband Dan and their children: Brandi, Bradley, and Paige; her son, Troy Collins and his wife Renee and their children: Taylor and Lauryn all of Gillette, Wyoming; 3 sisters: Joyce Stotts and her husband Roy of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Irene Vollmer of Chicago, Illinois, and Linda Michalek and her husband Tom of Murdo, South Dakota; 3 brothers: Richard Niehoff and his wife Jo of Black Hawk, South Dakota, Curtis Niehoff and his wife Marsha of Dorrance, Kansas, and Carl Niehoff and his wife Dawn of Mitchell, South Dakota; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, parents, and brothers: Morris, Larry, Harold and Doug.Memorials are suggested in Carole's name to the Family Life Church.
