A Funeral Service for Dianna Riley will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ralph Reed officiating.Burial will follow in the Gillette, Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home. Please bring a story or memory of Dianna to share at the service. Dianna M. Riley, age 56, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008, of a sudden cardiac event while she was working at Campbell County Memorial Hospital.Dianna Riley was born on March 15, 1951 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Joseph and Mary Ann (Swisher) Petranek. She grew up in White River, South Dakota and graduated from high school there in 1969. Dianna married Victor Riley on August 1, 1969 in White River. They have 3 daughters, Lynn, Kris and Jill. The family moved to Gillette in 1979, then near Rozet in 1980. Dianna was able to fulfill her life-long dream of becoming a nurse when she graduated with the first class of nurses at the Gillette Campus in 1984. She then earned her R.N. degree in 1987. Dianna worked at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital for 25 years. Dianna was an avid bowler and enjoyed gardening, cheering for the Broncos, and trips to Deadwood. She also loved to visit her grandchildren in South Dakota, Colorado and Nevada.Dianna is survived by her husband of 38 years, Victor of Rozet; daughters, Lynn Weir (Ed) of North Las Vegas, NV, Kris Jabs (Christopher) of Windsor, CO and Jill Pierce (Bill Muhm) of Rapid City, South Dakota; she is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Robyne, Ryne, Nicole and Erica Weir, Bryce and Adam Jabs, Ashley and Breanna Pierce, Cody and Taylor Muhm; three brothers Mark Petranek (Gail) of Poulsbo, WA, Keith Petranek (Laura) of Downers Grove, IL and Vince Petranek of Rapid City SD; one sister, Mary Hieb (Don) of Murdo, SD. She will be missed by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Ann Petranek.A memorial has been established in Dianna's name.
