Hodges was born on February 3, 1942 the daughter of Ray and Helen (Moes) Heyn in Watertown, South Dakota. She worked all her life as a cashier, manager and full time wife and mother. Lois's legacy was that she always put others before herself and was a very caring and loving person. She was a resident of Pioneer Manor Nursing Home for a little over 3 years, where she was well taken care of. Lois was an avid reader of mysteries, westerns and love stories or anything she could get her hands on. She could read a paperback book in a day, so it was a challenge to keep her in books.
