LaVerne M. Kueter, age 87, Gillette, Wyoming and formerly of Sheboygan, Wisconsin died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Mrs. Kueter was born April 23, 1920, the daughter of Francis and Elsie (Bandman) Douglas at Sheboygan. She attended St. Paul's Lutheran School and Central High School which she graduated from in 1938. She married Lester E. Kueter on April 27, 1940 at Two Rivers, Wisconsin and they were married for 62 years until his death on October 19, 2002. LaVerne was a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, past president and secretary of Ladies Aid, served as a Cub Scout den mother, former volunteer at Bethesda Thrift store in Sheboygan and present member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Gillette, Wyoming.LaVerne is survived by two sons: Jack L. Kueter and Douglas L. Kueter both of Gillette, Wyoming; brother-in-law, Armond (Ione) Kueter and sisters-in-laws: Mattie Douglas and Mildred Kueter.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, infant son, William T. Kueter and brother, Levi Douglas.Funeral services for Mrs. Kueter will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Lippert-Olson Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Alan Kretschmar, pastor, will officiate.
