Mass of Christian Burial for LaVera Sinclair will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the St. Matthews Catholic Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Father Philip Vaske as celebrant. Visitation will be on Monday, January 21, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and a Vigil will follow at 7:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home. Rite of Committal will be at 3:00 p.m., January 22, 2008 at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota.LaVera Bessie Sinclair, age 92, died at home in Gillette, Wyoming on January 16, 2008 after a prolonged illness. She was born in Frenchtown, Nebraska on September 15, 1915 to Harvey and Bessie Yokum.In 1917, the Yokum?s moved from Nebraska to a homestead in the Rocky Point area where she was schooled. She lived in Lead and Edgemont, South Dakota until 1944 when she moved to Gillette. In 1945 she married Walter John (?Jack?) Sinclair and they operated three restaurants and a campground until moving to Keyhole. They returned to Gillette in 1980 where LaVera was active in square dancing, Saint Matthews Altar Society, and the American Legion Auxiliary.She was preceded in death by her son Robert Lee Pavlovich of the Villages, Florida. She is survived by her husband, Jack Sinclair, a sister, Charolette Heindrich of Gillette, a son Raymond Pavlovich of Katy, Texas, five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
