Memorial services for Johnathan Gordon Finley will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the Chophouse Restaurant. A second memorial service will take place this summer in Absarokee, Montana.Johnathan "John" Gordon Finley, age 33, of Gillette, Wyoming formerly of Loveland, Colorado died Sunday, January 13, 2008 from injuries sustained in an accident.John Finley was born on December 29, 1974 the son of Randy and Peggy Finley in Greeley, Colorado. He grew up in the Billings, Montana area and attended schools in Billings and Shepherd. He enjoyed spending vacation time on the ranch of his grandparents, gordon and Ethel Finley, in Absarokee, Montana. John spent his young adult years living in Loveland, Colorado where he was close to his father and family. John was an avid reader and loved playing video games and hanging out with his many friends. He worked in a foundry, making statues, and as a cook for Perkins Restaurants in Loveland, Colorado. In 2007 he moved to Gillette, Wyoming to be close to his mom. He worked at the Chophouse Restaurant where he was a good, hard worker and well liked and respected by his boss and co-workers. His genuine smile and easy-going ways will be missed.John is survived by his mother, Peggy Van Litsenborgh of Gillette, Wyoming; step-mother, Berta Finley of Greeley, Colorado; brother, Terry (Cassandra) Seader of Bozeman, Montana; 2 step-bothers and 3 step-sisters: Aaron (Rachel) Turnquist, Carlos Benevides, Natalie and Jennifer Turnquist, Danyta Ritchey all of Greeley, Colorado; grandparents: Gordon (Ethel) Finley of Absarokee, Montana, Virginia (James) Younkin of Loveland, Colorado, John (Pat) Seader of Billings, Montana; 3 uncles and 5 aunts: Craig (Lucinda) Finley, Ron (Ann) Finley, Diane Finley and Andrea (Robert) Aughinbaugh, Lisa Finley, Kathy (Brad) Roberts, Kristin (Bob) Herman and Dean Seader.He was preceded in death by his father, Randy Finley and grandmother, Marjorie Svendson.Memorials and condolences may be sent in John's name in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716 or via the internet at www.stevensonwilson.com.
