Jonni Brown, age 51, of Weston, Wyoming died on Thursday, January 10, 2008the victim of a head-on car accident.Memorial services for Mrs. Brown will be held at a later date when herdaughter and grandson, who were also injured in the car accident, haverecovered from their injuries enough to attend. Jonni Kay Brown was born on July 26, 1956 in Colorado Springs, Colorado the daughter of Donald and Minnie Jo (Griffin) Dunn. She attended elementary schools in Wyoming, Colorado and Nebraska before her family moved to the Gillette area in the late 1960's. She graduated from Campbell County High School in 1974. Jonni married the love of her life, Rex Brown, in November 1973; the couple was not only husband and wife buteach others best friend. They would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary this year. Jonni was a self taught artist writing poetry and children's books and illustrating them herself. The gift of a new computer had opened a new world of creativity for her and she had been taking great pleasure in exploring new ways to draw and illustrate with it. She had a greenhouse for the first time this last summer and grew some of the biggest tomatoes her family had ever seen. Jonni was a mail carrier for Weston for years and loved watching for wildlife along her route and watching the seasons pass. She loved the country she lived in. Joby, Jonni's grandson was the light of his Granny's life - she loved every minute she spent with him and always had a funny story to tell. She was known as the aunt that wanted to have the kids (nieces, nephews, & friends) out to have wiener roasts and water fights or to go play at the lake - she was the biggest kid of them all. She was a very loving, caring, giving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and granny and she will be greatly missed. Jonni is survived by her husband, Rex Brown of Weston, Wyoming; son, Joe Brown of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter, Rori (Shane) Coates of Weston, Wyoming; father; Donald Dunn of Gillette; sisters: Jackie DeWine, Jerri (John) Bettes and Jimmi (Mick) Snyder all of Gillette, Wyoming; grandson, Joby Coates of Weston, Wyoming and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her mother and paternal and maternal grandparents.Memorials are suggested to benefit the Rori Coates Medical Fund, First Interstate Bank, P.O.
