Rosella Rhyan

Rosella Marie Rhyan, age 74, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at CCMH from colon cancer.Rosella was born October 13, 1933 in Webster City, Iowa the daughter of Ray and Edna (Johnson) Wilson. She attended school in Waterloo, Iowa graduating from East High School in 1951. Rosella married Lawrence Eugene "Gene" Rhyan on February 23, 1957 in Elk Point, South Dakota. Gene and Rosella celebrated 50 years together in 2007. Rosella enjoyed writing poetry, reading, embroidery, making crafts, entertaining and singing. She loved her family and decorating her home for the holidays. Rosella worked for the Freeman Journal in Webster, Iowa, the Riverton Ranger in Riverton, Wyoming, the Gillette News Record and Gene?s Carpet & Wall Cleaning in Gillette. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a volunteer at the Senior Center and Soup Kitchen. She was also a member of AARP, Sweet Adelines and was an election judge for many years.Rosella is survived by her husband, son Monty R. Rhyan of Colorado, her daughters Roxanne S. (Don) Botic of Fremont, Nebraska and Jean M. Kosak of Gillette, Wyoming, grandchildren; David(JiYoung)Berry, Stephanie(Dave Newcomb)Berry, Lisa(Tom)Botic-Mach, Cheri(Randy)Botic Schroeder, Christina(Keith)Wright and Timothy(Donnielle Phillips)Rhyan; great grandchildren; Addison, Nigel and Brendan Mach, Ethan Wright and Ethan Schroeder. She was preceded in death by her infant son David Allen , her parents, sisters Joanne Hass and Raedean Christian.In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to CCMH Hospice, P.O.
