Funeral services for Brandon J. Foster, of Gillette, will be held 2:00 P.M. , Monday, November 19, 2007 at the Family Life Church in Gillette, with Pastor Dan Morgan of the High Plains Community Church officiating. The family requests that attire be that of UW. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Wyoming National Guard. Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. Sunday, November 18, 2007 at the Stevenson - Wilson Funeral Home. Mr. Foster, age 23, died on Thursday, November 15, 2007 near Moorcroft, Wyoming as the result from an automobile accident. Brandon Joel Foster was born April 29, 1984 in Casper, Wyoming the son of William and Kim (Wright) Foster. He attended Grace Lutheran Pre-School there, before moving to Gillette with his family in May of 1989. He attended Lakeview Elementary, Twin Spruce Jr. High and graduated from Campbell County High school in 2002. In February of 2003 Brandon joined the Army. He went through Basic Training at Ft. Jackson, S.C. Upon his completion he was transferred to Ft. Drum in Watertown, NY. On January. 17, 2006 he went to Afghanistan and he was assigned to the 10th Mountain Division. He returned stateside May 20, 2007 and came home to Gillette on July 29th 2007. His family and friends enjoyed him home for just 88 short days. Brandon was currently employed at Rawhide Mine. Brandon was a prankster, he loved to joke and make people laugh, bringing sunshine to everybody?s day. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a collector of cars and trucks, working on them every chance he would get. Brandon was liked by those who met him, but loved by all who knew him. Brandon is survived by his parents; sister, Brandee Foster; brothers: Brett and Bradley Foster; soul mate, Janelle Charles and her daughter Sydni; all of Gillette; maternal great-grandmother Mildred Wright of Story; paternal grandmother, Mary Foster of Casper; maternal grandparents: Lee and Chris Wright of Mendota, Il; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather: Dan Foster; great-grandparents: J.D. and Ester Foster and Herb and Thelma Reynold; great-grandfather, Sherman Wright; great-grandmother, Martha Miller.
