Funeral services for Cynthia Kaye Branum, age 48 of Gillette, Wyoming will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at High Plains Community Church with Pastor Dan Morgan officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 pm Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Merrill Hillside Cemetery in Merrill, Iowa on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 11:00 am. There will be a luncheon immediately following at the Merrill Methodist Church.Cynthia Kaye Branum the daughter of Robert and Alma Behl was born on April 3rd, 1959 in Springfield, Illinois. Cindy grew up in Beardstown, Illinois and graduated from Beardstown High School in 1978.She has 3 grown children from her first marriage. They are Brian Spears, Amy Flohr and Angela Spears. Cindy has spent the last 15 years happily married to Matt Branum. Together they have a 10 year old daughter named Morgan. Cindy devoted her life to caring for children. Children had an immediate connection and security with her. Besides being the best Mommy to her own children, she cared for handicap children at BOCES for 15 years before opening her own daycare.Cindy lost her year long fight against Leukemia at 9:30 a.m. on November 7, 2007. She never complained and was so brave throughout her journey. People around her learned so much from her strength and courage. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Matt Branum of Gillette; her son Brian (Amanda) Spears of Gillette; her daughters Amy (Charlie) Flohr of Maryville, Missouri; Angela Spears of Gillette, and Morgan Branum of Gillette, her grandson Adam Flohr of Maryville, Missouri; her parents Robert and Alma Behl of Meredosia Illinois, and a brother Kent (Pam) Hoots of Golden Illinois.
