Funeral services for Ron Block will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 5, 2007 at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Sonja Brucklacher officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home. A second service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in McLaughlin, South Dakota with Pastor Marcus Bakke officiating. Burial will follow in the Selfridge Community Cemetery in Selfridge, North Dakota. Visitation will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge, South Dakota.Ronnie Block, age 37, of Gillette, Wyoming died at his home in Gillette on Monday, October 29, 2007 from heart conditions.Ronnie was born in McLaughlin, South Dakota on June 8, 1970 the son of Erick and Charlene (Walker) Block. He was raised and educated in McLaughlin graduating from McLaughlin High School in 1989. Upon his graduation, Ronnie attended Northern State College in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Ronnie came to Gillette, Wyoming during his summers to internship with Cundy Asphalt. After earning a bachelors of Science degree the company had a job waiting for him at the what is now Intermountain Construction (ICM), where he was employed at the time of his death. Ron was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Gillette Energizers, ACC of America Construction Education, Wyoming Construction Association, Moonlight Marketing and the Indian Hills Homeowners Association. He participated in numerous community events including: Festival of Trees, The secret Santa shopper program, treat street, Christmas Parade of Lights, Chili Cook Off, and working on floats for the 4th of July parade. Ronnie was a limo driver for most of the Gillette Community; he also was the videographer for the Northern State university football team. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. Ron is survived by his mother, Charlene Block of Gillette, Wyoming; brother, Captain Travis Block currently station in Korea; and sister, Charity Buer and her husband, Captain Dan Buer and niece, Ava all of Devils Lake N.D.; grandmother, Ruby Walker as well as many aunts uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his father, Erick Block, Jr.; sisters: Collette Block and Tonya Block; grandparents: George W.
