A funeral service for Sandra Jane Price will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Calvary Community Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Don Wright officiating. Burial will follow at the Gillette, Mount Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 7:00 p.m., Friday, October, 24, 2008 at Walker Funeral Home. Sandra Jane Price, 53, lost her battle with breast cancer on Sunday, October 19, 2008, after a 13 year fight. She was first diagnosed with the disease in 1995, again in 2005, and for a third time in December of 2007. Sandy was a long-time Gillette resident who worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in area pharmacies. She was also a Stampin Up! Demonstrator, selling rubber stamps and holding card making and scrapbooking classes at her home. Sandy was born on February 20, 1955 in Casper, WY. She lived in the Lovell and Gillette areas for most of her life. She attended Lovell High School, graduating in 1973. She lived in Lovell after marrying Thomas E. Price in July of that same year. She moved to Gillette with her family in 1982. Recently, she spent time in the Chicago area while seeking treatment for inflammatory breast cancer. She also spent time with her daughter and grandchildren in Lansing, MI between treatments. Being a grandmother was Sandys passion. She treasured each moment she was able to spend with her grandkids, along with family and friends. In her free time, she was an avid crafter, creating hand-stamped gifts and cards, custom dog clothes and crocheted blankets. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, shopping, surfing the web and touring the country with her husband on their Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. Sandy is survived by her husband, Tom Price and son Brandon Price, both of Gillette, her daughter and son-in-law, Misti and Matt Hard and grandchildren Olivia and Evan Hard, of DeWitt, MI. She is also survived by two sisters, Sherri Dutcher of Gillette and Deb Schmidt of Upton, nephews Daniel, Caleb and Ethan Dutcher, Ty Schmidt and niece Abi Schmidt. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Margie and Daniel Phillips. The family is asking that donations be made to the Susan G.
